The world is drowning in plastic. It’s destroying our oceans, sitting in landfills for 500 years and slowly creating a layer of plastic that covers the earth. In the Netherlands alone, plastic use is increasing with over 100 million pieces of plastic each year.
The good news is that globally, 77% of the consumers want to learn how to live more sustainably. But there is a gap between people’s aspiration and actual behavior. A few small barriers keep people from making positive plastic change: (1) they aren’t familiar with plastic-free alternatives and (2) sustainable products are seen as more expensive.
It’s our mission to remove these obstacles by building an app that makes sustainable living accessible, repeatable and affordable every day.
